Anatomy of effort

Mural comissioned by the Centroamerican and Caribbean Games 2026, Santo Domingo. The body is our way of inhabiting the world. It carries our identity, memory, and personal and collective histories. Every gesture, every scar, and every skin tone tells a story. Yet no body exists in isolation: we are also made through our relationships with other bodies, with nature, with technology, and with everything that sustains life. We are individuals and, at the same time, communities.

From these ideas, we developed a composition in which the body appears as force, political territory, ecosystem, and creative entity—an exaltation of the extraordinary potential of Dominican athletes and of everything a body can become.
