Way of heaven

As a street artist, my work has always revolved around color and gazes. For me, the gaze is a window onto emotion, dreams, and imagination—and in this mural, it becomes a direct link between the viewer and the spirit of the Alpine winter. The mural is located at the entrance to the recently inaugurated greenway in Moûtiers. I present the portrait of a child immersed in contemplation, wrapped in a winter hat, his eyes raised to the sky. This gaze, both intense and dreamy, captures the light and invites everyone to slow down, observe, and reconnect with the present moment. The composition creates a dialogue between vibrant colors—pinks, icy blues, soft blues—and the winter season, creating an atmosphere that is both magical and warm. In a mountain environment often dominated by muted or mineral hues, this vibrant palette awakens the senses and brings a touch of urban poetry to this transitory space. The rounded space of the wall inspired an enveloping, almost intimate setting, like a protective alcove on the threshold of nature. This fresco is intended to be both a visual landmark and a strong emotional signal at the entrance to the greenway. She accompanies cyclists, walkers, children on scooters, and all users of this path with kindness and sensitivity.Through this work, I wish to celebrate winter in its most human and sensitive form: not as a cold and distant season, but as a moment of wonder, inner light, and gentleness. For the technique, I use paint here that I apply in the form of hatching to imitate the rendering of oil pastel. I call it "the pastel effect" because I actually create a lot of medium-sized oil pastel frescoes on the walls in Paris and I always wanted this work to be done on a larger scale with paint.
