A new parking area was created on the site of the former national police barracks.

Since June 2024, an artwork by Pink Panther Paints has decorated the wall of the new parking facility. A poem by the late Zele resident Stijn De Paepe completes the artwork. This project (by Wallin') shows that art plays an important role in beautifying public space and fostering community spirit.
