From the artists IG:
Drips are an intentional feature of my artwork and have been since I launched my street art persona Freeride Lines in 2020.
Why drips though?
Yes they look pleasing and are part of the course of painting on walls but they tell a story.
I have visited mountains since the early 00s and I have seen the impacts of climate change first hand...glaciers melting, unusually big dumps of snow, sides of mountains falling off, animals out of hibernation when they shouldn't be and of course club tropicana temps in the middle of deep winter.
So they aren't just drips.
They represent that these mountainous spaces are fragile. Mountains may look majestic and static AF but they are changing just like every other environment on the planet.
Normally I make my mountains drip but this time I added drips to my trees. It was fun adding them as my spot changed to a wind tunnel by the afternoon. I let mother nature do her thing - she will anyway.
