My Summer Body

The theme of this work is actually twofold: summer and feminism. A female character who rejects the beauty standards imposed by the patriarchy stands on a beach as if posing for a photo, and with her foot raised, she threatens to crush a sandcastle bearing the flag 'patriarcat.'

This work was painted at the same time as the one right next to it, which belongs to the artist Léotine Soulière.
