Marie Geck

"Since July 2024, a large-format black-and-white portrait of Marie Geck (1865–1927) has been on display on the wall on Klosterstraße. It was created by the renowned artist Hendrik Beikirch, who is known for his monumental portraits. The work was created as part of the “Offenburg Celebrates Freedom” initiative and commemorates Marie Geck’s significant commitment to the city—she was active in local politics and championed social causes for decades."
