Chinatown has attracted migrants of different ethnic groups - rickshaw pullers, tradesmen, merchants, food sellers, and many others. Multi-racial residents still live here, and many have prospered in wealth.

The lion dance bring auspiciousness during Chinese New Year, and 70s icon Bruce Lee is depicted next to a Dragon, the legendary Chinese mythological creature symbolizing power and good luck. He is balancing the durian (the King of fruits), the mangosteen (the Queen of fruits), and nunchaku breadstick. Now for some hot Chinese tea, served from a traditional long spout kettle!
