Along the crossroads

This is a portrait of Mariella from the small town of Atempan in Mexico, based on a photograph the artist took on one of his travels. He chose this image for the location, because there is a link between the village the photo was taken and the location of the mural in the form of trade. Atempan hosts a big local market and trading place every weekend. Close to this mural a very large shopping mall can be found, which attracts many people people from the region, especially in the weekends.

Dit is een portret van Mariella uit het kleine stadje Atempan in Mexico, gebasseerd op een foto die de kunstenaar op een van zijn reizen heeft gemaakt. Hij koos deze foto voor deze locatie, omdat er een overeenkomst is tussen het plaatse Atempan en deze locatie in de vorm van handel. Atempan wordt elk weekend omgevormd tot een grote markt en handelsplaats. Dicht bij de locatie van deze muurschildering is een groot overdekt winkelcentrum, dat veel mensen uit de regio aantrekt, vooral in de weekenden.
