Saint Agatha, a catholic martyr from the year 251 in Catania. Based on the story Agatha had devoted herself to god and so rejected a man who proposed to her. Not handeling the rejection well the man accused Agatha of being a bad christian and ordered to have her tortured by cutting off her breasts.

Today Agatha is a patron of domestic violence victims and breast cancer. Although the story takes place in Catania, she is also celebrated in small towns in Catalunya.

The deciption of a female with nude breasts usually is sexualized but because of the long catholic tradition it seems to be very normal and casual in this context despite the much more brutal setting.
