Greece is a blue country; blue the sky in the water, the mountains far away, the cold shadows projected by the unbelievable sun, blue the space. Blue love there, a seafoam blue from which Aphrodite takes her name. What if love had to do with the foaminess of being? Upon learning this etymological link, I wanted to devote myself to love as water, without specifying either its nature or its kind. We who have always thought of it as fire, a voracious, consummatory inferno, exhaustible to the point of ashes. I have learned that the sea sacrifices no less; but with abandon, it can churn us into its cycle. A floating love, which envelops and sometimes dissolves, with (it is so obvious) its high and low tides and the beauty of the horizon in both cases.
