“For diversity in Nuremberg” is the name of the towering zoo artwork by Nuremberg artist Christian Rösner. The huge facade image catches the eye of road users at the busy intersection of Outer Bayreuther Straße 41/Hintermayrstraße (Nordring) and was installed on behalf of the Tiergartenfreunde Nürnberg e.V. association.
The artwork shows a variety of different animals grouped around a black-backed tapir. The zoo coordinates the conservation breeding of European zoos for this species. “Nuremberg Zoo stands for the preservation of biodiversity. “We as a zoo association therefore find the title ‘For Diversity in Nuremberg’ appropriate in every respect.”
