One Time, In New Orleans

Activist artist Brandan "BMike" Odums is the winner of an NAACP Image Award and has gained national acclaim for his work following the devastating impact of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans. In 2016 BMike spent months transforming a 35,000 sq. ft. warehouse into a powerful visual commentary on civil rights, the hurricane, and the Black experience. After a 10-year run BMike announced StudioBE will be closing November 1, 2026 to make room for a brand new installation. (Highly recommend checking out the studio if you have a chance before this exhibit disappears.)
