You are on the money

The artwork features a huge, hyper-realistic hand emerging from a dark opening in the wall, holding a one-dollar note that has been transformed into a photo opportunity. The banknote features the text ‘PHOTO OP’, inviting visitors to stand in front of it and become part of the composition. The contrast between the realism of the hand, the black background and the banknote’s pop/graffiti aesthetic creates a striking and interactive image, playing on the ideas of money, value, fame and the limelight.
