After enduring two months of relentless wind and rain 🌦️, I finally completed this mural in 38 effective working days! Without a doubt, this has been the greatest challenge and most intense test in my 10-year career as a mural artist.
I believe this could very well be the largest portrait mural of Jay Chou and Hannah Quinlivan in the world 🎨, and certainly the biggest and tallest mural I’ve painted to date.
As with tradition, this mural is connected to my previous installation artwork and contains hidden elements for everyone to discover — difficulty level: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.
If I were to list the challenges in order, the top one would be the harsh weather, followed by the unpredictable amount of paint required 🎨, the time spent maintaining and moving the gondola 🚠, and finally the fear of heights and physical exhaustion 🧑🎨. After all, this line of work truly depends on the mercy of the weather.
Throughout this journey, I’ve experienced many interesting, intense, and even dangerous moments — stories filled with growth, pressure, and unexpected surprises. I’ll be sharing them in a dedicated series of videos 🍿 so everyone can feel what it was like to go through this process with me.
Even though you weren’t physically there to witness every step, I hope to recreate the emotions and atmosphere through video — letting you experience the sweat, the struggle, and the joy as if you were right there with me. 💪🏻
It’s impossible to capture everything in a single one-minute video 🎬, but I hope you’ll enjoy this special surprise mural dedicated to Jay Chou and Hannah Quinlivan.
More than just a tribute, it’s my heartfelt thank you to Jay Chou — for shaping so many beautiful moments of our youth. I’m grateful to have lived in an era where we got to grow up with his music and creativity. 🫡
