Mural on Sinagoga Street

This striking street mural, located in Callejón de la Sinagoga in the heart of Toledo’s historic centre, is the work of the renowned artist and professor of drawing, Fernando Sordo Juanena.

The official title of the work is simply ‘Mural de la calle Sinagoga’ (or mural of Callejón de la Sinagoga), conceived by the artist as a way of integrating contemporary public art into Toledo’s urban fabric, playing with a still-life composition with Cubist overtones that stands out for its pastel tones, geometric shapes and that iconic slice of watermelon at the bottom.
