This colourful mural on Toynbee Street was created by the street artist Fat Caps Sprays.

The artwork is characterised by vibrant, glowing floral and plant forms reminiscent of neon lighting. It dates from 2023, but was repaired and updated in July 2024.

The artwork serves as a vibrant backdrop to the burger bar’s outdoor seating area, complete with bar stools and hanging plants that blend in with the painted flora. The artist regards all his street art as a free, accessible ‘outdoor exhibition’ for passers-by.

Fat Cap Sprays is a highly active, anonymous street artist based in London. His artist name refers to a ‘fat cap’: a wide spray nozzle used by graffiti artists to create thick, flowing lines and fills. He is known worldwide for his “neon twist. Using layered spray techniques, bright fluorescent colours and contrasting white or luminous outlines, he creates the illusion of glowing neon light on brick walls and shutters.
