Jerilderie Swimming Pool Mural

Reflecting on the local flora and fauna, this artwork celebrates some of the unique wildlife found in the Riverina area - the Grey Crowned Babbler and the Darling Pea.

Selected as the primary feature is the Grey Crowned Babbler. Found locally, these birders are listed as vulnerable, serving as a reminder of the fragility of our ecosystem and the importance of the spirit of both strong family units and the characteristics of a tight-knit, supportive community.

The local floral elements of the Darling Pea (Slender Swainsona) and Billy Buttons aka Drumsticks (Pycnosous Globusus) introduce strong colours whilst providing depth through organic shapes. The mural is artistically excellent, locally conscious and environmentally aware.
