The People’s Painting

Located in a park area, off Crail Street.

Painted by Becky Bolton and Louise Chappell, collectively known as Good Wives and Warriors.

Painted between the 10th and 29th June 2014.

The mural was commissioned by BBC Scotland to celebrate the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014.

The painting was made into a short documentary looking at the lives of local residents and some local history, alongside the process of making a big mural.

The detail is stunning.
