Robinienhof

Robinienhof is a quiet, car-free square and a popular pedestrian zone in the district of Buer-Mitte in Gelsenkirchen. It is hidden away right in the city center between the busy shopping street (Hochstraße) and the Springemarkt square. which was redesigned a few years ago. Today, it is famous for a permanent wall gallery by well-known graffiti artist Beni Veltum. A big highlight on the walls is a realistic portrait of the Schalke soccer legend Rudi Assauer. The small walkway connecting the square to Springemarkt is regularly used for art projects. During the annual light art festival called "Goldstücke," German and international artists turn the display cases and walls of the passage into glowing art pieces.
