Kutschenwerkstatt

Kutschenwerkstatt (Carriage Workshop) is a well-known, historic exhibition and cultural venue in the creative district of Gelsenkirchen-Ückendorf.

The building is located in a typical backyard at Bochumer Straße 130. The roughly 150-year-old brick building originally served as a wheelwright's workshop. It was used to repair and maintain horse-drawn mail carriages for the German postal service. Today, the charming old workshop serves as an event and exhibition space for the local art scene. It regularly hosts art exhibitions, photography projects, and music workshops.
