The 40° Urban Art Festival took place from September 18 to 22, 2019, around the Jülicher Bridge and adjacent to the memorial for deported Jews at the old freight depot in Düsseldorf-Derendorf. To do equal justice to the creative design of the bridges and pillars and to the commemoration of the deportations — within both a historical and a contemporary context — the motto of the Festival was "Brücken Denken" (Thinking Bridges).
