LPVDA’s mural ‘One Piece of Piece’ in Decazeville (2019): LPVDA has created an unusual and fascinating piece, produced not with a paintbrush but with a sander. By sanding away faces and cats, LPVDA sought to highlight the peaceful and serene relationship between humans and animals: a space where everyone offers and draws from this source of joy and happiness. The central triangular prism, inspired by this relationship, radiates positive waves of peace. The title of the mural, ‘One Piece of Peace’, defines both the intention and the whole. This process of ‘subtraction’ rather than addition gives the mural a dimension that is both raw and poetic. Unique!
