Elianne Andam Memorial

This poignant memorial mural honors the life of 15-year-old Elianne Andam, located near the site where she was tragically killed in 2023. The artwork features a vibrant portrait of Elianne smiling, capturing her "radiant smile" and joy.

The piece is a collaborative effort between the artist and Elianne’s loved ones. It incorporates dozens of handmade ceramic tiles arranged in a chevron pattern in the background. These tiles were engraved with affirmations and positive messages by her family and friends (such as "We love you Elianne") and then fired at her former school, Old Palace. The artist used spray paint and gold leaf to finish the piece, which is painted on wood to ensure it can be preserved and transported if the location undergoes redevelopment. A memorial bench and plaque are also situated directly beneath the mural.
