“Niña del ñangapirí”

“What could be better than being able to think back to those years of innocence and pure mischief, of Corrientes siestas and of some little guaynita, those childish loves, yet real ones, the kind that between games and pranks are branded with their name in fire in our memory.

In his interpretation of Niña del Ñangapirí, Juan Manuel Sanabria captures on the pillars of the General Belgrano Bridge the innocence of two children playing at being adults without even knowing the why or the how.

With elements from the song, on one side we can see a daring little boy who dares to give something to the girl of his dreams, while in the middle a pair of thrushes stand out, perched on some ñangapirí fruits, and on the other side, two children’s hands holding pixelated flowers, immersed in a pixelated water hyacinth bed.

The setting: a place surrounded by children’s games, along with the Iberá promenade and historical columns reimagined through art, which also played their part.”
