When No One’s Watching.
What kinds of life might take over an abandoned space like the @ibug.art venue when no one is there? This room began with the idea of a simple seated figure, but the discovery of mouldy walls sparked a new vision. Strange, alien-like shapes and mushrooms emerged, filling the space alongside a witchy character. The pipes, empty tube slots, and an electrical outlet became part of the story. They connected to the shapes as if they were creating the creature itself. The entire work was an improvised response to the room’s textures and details.
