Artemisa Vulgaris

"Artemisia Vulgaris" // Reforestando series .
Plant that grows in temperate climate regions in Europe, Asia and North Africa, with great medicinal properties.
Considered as one of the first that was used by the human being. In the traditional folk medicine its flowers, stems and leaves are used. Named after the Greek goddess, is also the great protector of women , because, in addition to providing the most unconditional magical support according to some cultures, is one of the greatest remedies for all ailments and diseases of women.
It acquires a great prominence in the night of San Juan, a magical night, where, as a substitute for the Grail, it is used together with other herbs in the traditional copper cauldron to elaborate the magic potion that enhances the mental power, crystallizes desires and favors health and luck throughout the year. For this same purpose people wash their face and hands with the liquid of the potion and burn the plan in the typical ritual bonfires on this night.
Its roots are related to telluric currents and ancient matriarch-type cults. Artemis is also the traveler's grass. It is widely used in sorcery and witchcraft, because it was said to induce lucid dreams and astral travel.
