Mr. Tin diver on a plastic love rescue storm

With this work, the artist wanted to combine his passion as a collector of vintage and forgotten toys with the need to raise awareness of the problem, which has become almost rhetorical today, of plastic pollution in the seas. As is often the case with Cuboliquid's works, the wall becomes the canvas on which to tell a story. Here the protagonist is an old tin diver named Tin-Tin, an ancient inhabitant of the sea of forgotten toys. One day, during one of his underwater adventures in the box of abandoned toys, he encounters something surprising: Barbie Marmeid, visibly neglected and unfashionable. Tin-Tin, the romantic diver, sees past her crumpled plastic and realizes that she is the lucky break of his life. He decides to take the mermaid to his cardboard mansion, where toys of all kinds, abandoned and somewhat crumpled like him, live happily. Thus begins a wacky romance between Tin-Tin and the vintage mermaid: they exchange old-fashioned jokes and laughter about how old-fashioned they are, and love grows. Tin-Tin, the hero of neglected toys, teaches the mermaid to be proud of herself, regardless of the wrinkles on the plastic. The message this modern fairy tale wants to send is as simple as it is impactful: even though the world may discard you as an old toy, there is always someone who is ready to ofter you a second chance. And it you tind someone who loves your crumpled side...well, then you've tound your Tin-lin.
