Neuzeit-Märchen

Between March and September this year, Erwin Edel painted a work on the windowless façade of the World War II bunker in Aßmannshauser Straße. The artist, who was born in Bremen and now lives in Berlin, is known not only for his works on canvas but also for his tattoos and murals. He developed his latest and largest motif to date, entitled ‘Modern Fairy Tales’, specifically for the bunker façade in his typical, versatile visual language with references to the drawing traditions of different cultures.
