The choiric princip

Masterpiece for the 125-years company celebration 2007 of  Johannes Klais Orgelbau GmbH & Co. KG , a market leader in organ construction

Be it in a church service or in a concert, the sound of the organ has an uplifting effect. Reflection sets in. Reflection in worship and liturgy.

For the organ builder, the most important source of his work is respect. Respect for the space, for the music, for the performer. For more than 100 years - now in the fourth generation - the Klais family has been committed to organ building. Living and working under one roof for more than 100 years.

Committed to tradition. Preserve the old, preserve the tried and tested. But time also develops laws. Technology, sometimes also the modern, can work in the background. New things are moving into organ building. It is important to keep a balance.

This applies to the balance of space and sound, of material and intonation, of architecture and design of the organ façade. Organ building demands harmony at all levels. This also applies to the employees, who have grown together into a team, complement each other and mature with each task. Constant struggle for the right solution and always the same goal in mind: to build living instruments.
