A Glass Picture of Mining

The famous artistic glass window is located at Herne Station above the eastern entrance of the station lobby. It is a monumental 18-part stained-glass piece created by the Herne glass painter Jupp Gesing in 1953, showcasing motifs of coal mining and the industrial history of the Ruhr region.
