Owl

This mural was created in 2014 by a Bielsko-Biała artist working under the pseudonym Turbos as part of the first edition of the “oBBraz miasta” project, organised by the Fundacja Galerii Bielskiej and Galeria Bielska BWA. The artwork depicts a surreal image of an owl with human eyes, set against a mysterious forest illuminated by a blue luminescence that echoes the owl’s striking colour. Open to multiple interpretations, the mural has been described by the artist as a possible metaphor for the artist and his unique way of perceiving the world.

Artur Bosowski, known as Turbos, was born in Bielsko-Biała in 1980. His interest in drawing began during his school years, and in the late 1990s he became inspired by the first graffiti projects appearing in Poland, prompting him to create his own works. He is particularly recognised for his hyper-realistic painting style. In addition to mural and graffiti art, he collaborated on the stage design for the theatrical productions “The Sandpit” and “The Testament of Theodor Sixt” at the Polish Theatre in Bielsko-Biała. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous artistic initiatives and graffiti events across Poland.
