Carlo Vive - Memorial for Carlo Giuliani

The mural was painted in memory of Carlo Giuliani, an Italian activist who was shot and killed by police during the G8 summit protests in Genoa on July 20, 2001. Located on the south wing of the Bethanien art center @kunstraumkreuzberg in Berlin-Kreuzberg, the artwork features a striking portrait of Giuliani wearing a black balaclava. To the right, bold black letters on white read: “CARLO VIVE” (“Carlo lives”).
