Carpe Diem - Live a hoppy life!

The mural "Carpe Diem – Live a Hoppy Life!" was created by German calligraphy and lettering artist Andrea Wunderlich. Commissioned by Maisel & Friends, she transformed the façade of an office building into a large-scale typographic artwork celebrating joy, creativity, and the brewery's heritage. The mural combines the famous Latin phrase "Carpe Diem" ("Seize the Day") with the playful slogan "Live a Hoppy Life!", where "hoppy" refers both to hops and to living happily—a fitting pun for a brewery setting. Visually, the mural is defined by expressive hand-lettering, elegant calligraphy, and bold geometric sunburst patterns. Vibrant shades of turquoise, orange, red, and earthy tones create a striking visual impact, while the building's windows are seamlessly incorporated into the overall composition. Rather than interrupting the artwork, the architecture becomes an integral part of the design. The mural was created as an example of art integrated into architecture and forms part of the ongoing transformation of the former Maisel brewery into a vibrant Urban Art destination. Together with numerous international murals across the Maisel & Friends site, it contributes to one of Germany's most distinctive open-air collections of contemporary street art. The artwork was executed using high-quality façade paints in eleven different colors, ensuring both durability and visual brilliance.
