This work is inspired by artistic and cultural elements from Barcelos, namely:

  • The rooster with different colours, but always having the same shape/identity

  • Iconographic elements of Barcelos crafts: Figured (heart), Pottery (pot) and Embroidery (star). Figurative (heart)

The images are arranged on one of the most expressive elements of Portuguese art - the blue azulejos (tiles).
The phrase "Barcelos is a land of artists" was placed over the images. This phrase aims to encompass all forms of art, crafts and trades in Barcelos.

In The BOX is project organised by Casa da Juventude. The aim is to “involve young people in the creation of new projects that enhance their appreciation and capabilities”.
