Painted in Conflans Sainte-Honorine, as tribute to the area. A very first mural project initiated by the governing entities of the commune.
A place in Northern France which was originally named for its geographic position at the confluence of the rivers; Seine and Oise. The village was given the addition "Sainte Honorine" in the 13th century after the female martyr Saint-Honorina, whose relics had been kept there.
This image portrays females on both sides in mirror. Coming together centered around a chaotic bouquets. Chaotic in all aspects, held by hands in balance. Each flower kept and celebrated for being part of something bigger.
The facing figures are similar, as rivers are. Coming together in connection and care for what they simultaneously nurture.
The flowers, symbolizing the commune of Conflans, growing in a characteristic matter. Almost unmanageable yet fascinating in a sense of wonder where it’ll grow further. Which way, which color, what kind.
