Fensterillusionen

The partially windowless wall in the hotel courtyard was given character through four painted windows created using the stencil technique. While two of the painted shutters are closed, Jim Morrison—the American singer of The Doors (based on a 1967 photograph by Joel Brodsky)—looks out from a first-floor window, and on the second floor a woman appears, modeled after Edward Hopper’s 1927 painting “Automat.”
