Gleisaufgang 1 / 2

In 2022/2023 the stairs to the tracks at Braunschweig’s main station were renovated. In the course of the works, the local artist Nasim Naji painted the walls of the staircases focusing on different topics and distinguished color schemes to help travelers identify the different tracks.

The staircase to Platform 1 and 2 is predominantly colored in blue and white depicting various stylized views of the Baroque style Richmond castle.

The staircase to Platform 3 and 4 is predominantly colored in green and blue depicting various elements of nature, such as leaves and twigs.

The staircase to Platform 5 and 6 is predominantly colored in red, orange, and brown depicting a flock of geese flying into the sunset/sunrise.

The staircase to Platform 7 and 8 is predominantly colored in orange and blue pastel showing lakes and the rolling hills of the local landscape.
