Los ciervos de Monfragüe

To see the deer of Monfragüe you can go to Torrejón el Rubio, where Sojo and Brea have painted a huge urban art mural. Torrejón el Rubio, in the heart of the Monfragüe National Park, has one of the rock art interpretation centres in Extremadura and the Tourism Department of the Provincial Council of Cáceres wanted to commission this project to highlight one of the least known aspects of Monfragüe.

Many visitors go in search of the deer on their walks through the park and now they can see a modern recreation, the work of the Extremadura artists Brea and Sojo, very close to the rock shelters where the cavemen immortalised them in their own way in their prehistoric paintings.
