Collaborative Artwork by Artists Tobias Kroeger and Markus GenesiusOn this construction fence, the distinctive styles of Bremen artists Tobias Kroeger and Markus Genesius merge. Both have been influential figures in Bremen's graffiti scene since the 1990s and have since found success in contemporary art as well. Here, Genesius' abstract test-pattern aesthetic meets Kroeger’s precise, graphic approach, creating a dynamic visual language that will inspire and accompany pedestrians in Sögestraße for an entire year.This temporary artwork was created as part of the Street Art Cities campaign of the WFB Bremen, and symbolizes the creative exchange and close collaboration within Bremen’s urban art scene. The installation powerfully demonstrates how urban art can enrich the cityscape and foster cultural identity.

We sometimes forget in this new age of Mega Murals and the new international rise of Muralism that before we were given permission to paint multi story buildings graffiti artists were actively collaborating in alleys, tucked away train track walls and so forth. I think we all know the history and I am not trying to reflect on any of this history only reference our origins painting murals for ourselves and the act of collaboration. Creating a uniform production wall as we called it was part of being a graffiti artist for most of us. Working in letter structure, characters and a uniform background became the norm in order for artists to collaborate on a large mural. Fast forward to today and its great to see elements of this history still in place amongst the ever changing scene of street/graffiti art.gf

Decisive aspects here are to always discuss art from the region in a supra-regional comparison and to enable experimentation from both an artistic and curatorial point of view. With the presentation of the two artists Markus Genesius and Jimmi D. Paesler in the Gleishalle of the Künstlerhaus Güterabfertigung, the curators of the gallery are daring the adventure of bringing together two artists from completely different worlds. Markus Genesius, born in 1974, is a self-taught artist, has his roots in graffiti art and has been internationally renowned in the street art scene since the 1990s. Jimmi D. Paesler, born in 1942, was the second winner of the "Kunstpreis Junger Westen" in 1967, the most important prize for contemporary art in Germany at the time, and has been one of the top performers in the visual arts in Bremen ever since. His murals, which were created between 1976 and 1988 as part of Bremen's Art in Public Space program, are still very present in Bremen's cityscape.

This work unites two cities: after the writers finished the art object in Ekaterinburg, they went to Magnitogorsk and depicted on the end of a nine-storey house hands that catch a paper airplane launched from us. Bremen - London. An existing friendship spanning several decades. This collaboration on the subject of manipulation was created in 2014. British artist SHOK-1 spraypaints unique X-ray art on walls around the world. The works present a kind of diagnosis of life in the 21st century, sometimes&nbsp;in glowing health and other times pathological.

The difference now maybe 15-20 years later is Letterform and characters are replaced with new aesthetic influenced by the past but always looking towards tomorrow. The book story 

Since 1977, the anti-war picture on the Halmerweg bunker has been part of everyday life in Gröpelingen.The letter pad with the inscription "Dear Herta! Never again war, was painted by Bremen artist Hermann Stuzmann at the end of the 1970s. In 2010, the surface was reworked and a modern version was created in the lower section by Markus Genesius/Wow123

Liebe Herta! Nie wieder Krieg 1977/2010 

Speicher XI harbor museum in Bremen that showed the past and present of Markus Genesius. The exhibition attempted to link together some of the artist's most important creative turning points that have brought him to where he is today.
