This year’s editon’s focused in the north, next to the port and “climate” is the theme this year. Painting on the wall of Pittman Seafood, Tuzq paid tribute to fishing by looking at nature, so he painted a huge polar bear chasing fish and cleverly touched the climate disatser our planet is heading for. On the left side, you see the polar bear melting away referring to the global warming problem.</a>&nbsp;</div>

The city rolled out a plan to improve safety, quality of life and social control and asked Street Art Antwerp to help out. 4 artists painted the 4 pillars of the highway inspired by nature, the beautiful swan emerging from the water is by Tuzq, the curious fox is by Duits, the colorful hummingbird by Smok and the proud peacock by Gun-T. Zijn afbeeldingen van dieren en natuurlandschappen zijn adembenemend, om nog maar te zwijgen over de technische vaardigheid en het detail dat hij in zijn werk stopt. In samenspraak met Treepack en de stad Aarschot werd een toegankelijk concept uitgewerkt door de Scherpenheuvelse artiest Tuzq om de verbindingsweg van de parkeerplaats naar het stadscentrum stijlvol op te fleuren. Dit stimuleert een aangename eerste kennismaking voor bezoekers en inwoners van Aarschot. Om lokale flora en fauna te integreren in deze stedelijke omgeving werd er gekozen voor het centrale thema van de arend. Deze vogel is bovendien volgens een oude legende door Aurelianus neergeschoten. Op de plek waar de arend neergekomen zou zijn, werd Aarschot gesticht.Het mythische verhaal van deze vogel wordt door kunstenaar Tuzq benadert met een mix van realisme en grafische elementen. Als één van de beste realisme-artiesten van België, met oog voor detail en diepte, triomferen zijn creaties. Vol doorzettingsvermogen, trots en waardigheid slaat de arend zijn vleugel uit over de volledige gevel waarbij de andere vogels in zijn richting vliegen. In de verte reist de Orleanstoren op uit de wolken. De veelvoorkomende kleuren van Aarschot werden als inspiratie gebruikt. Het kleurenpalet op basis van zandsteen en cortenstaal resulteert in een mooi samenspel van het finale kunstwerk met de directe omgeving.&nbsp;Het kunstwerk is als een arendsnest waar verschillende soorten vogels worden grootgebracht. De wegvliegende vogels refereren naar de diverse burgers van Aarschot. De arend verwijst bovendien naar oud-burgemeester Theo De Becker, een trotse huisvader van een bruisende stad. Deze muurschildering speelt perfect in op het voortdurende doel van Aarschot: “Een stad die een thuis is voor iedereen”.

Graffiti artiest Lars Van Cauwenbergh of TUZQ uit Scherpenheuvel-Zichem kon afgelopen weekend zijn ding doen op de muur van dierenartsenpraktijk Beestig op amper enkele honderden meters van zijn woning. De artiest was eerder, onder andere, al verantwoordelijk voor een gigantische muurschildering van een vos in Testelt, waarmee hij in 2021 de prijs van beste streetart in België won, en maakte ook elders al heel wat kunstwerken. Nu mocht hij dus de gevel aanpakken van de dierenartsenpraktijk waarop hij afgelopen weekend een hond en kat aanbracht die vanaf vandaag te bewonderen is. &nbsp;“We bestaan tien jaar en dat was een mooie aangelegenheid om de gevel aan te pakken en zo krijgt het kruispunt ook een opfrisbeurt. Ongetwijfeld een meerwaarde voor deze fijne stad.”, aldus dierenarts Laura.--------------------------------------------------------------------- Graffiti artist Lars Van Cauwenbergh of TUZQ from Scherpenheuvel-Zichem was able to do his thing last weekend on the wall of veterinary practice Beestig, just a few hundred meters from his home. De stad Maaseik zet in 2023 het poëzieproject 'Dichter bij water' op poten. Naast gedichten op etalages en raamstickers aan de parkeergarages, is vooral deze 11,5 meter hoge muurschildering van TUZQ de trekpleister van het project.&nbsp; 'Dichter bij water' wilt de mensen dichter in contact brengen met de natuur en het water om hen heen. Een doelstelling waar TUZQ mooi bij aansluit met zijn fotorealistische weergave van een vos, een hert en de volmolen van Opoeteren op zijn indrukwekkende muurschildering die de toepasselijke naam 'Wildlife harmony' kreeg. De vos heeft een uitloop van bladeren in zijn vacht, en in de achtergrond zie je een subtiele bosrijke omgeving. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- In 2023, the city of Maaseik sets up the poetry project 'Closer to water'. In addition to poems on shop windows and window stickers on the parking garages, this 11.5 meter high mural by TUZQ is the main attraction of the project. 'Closer to water' wants to bring people closer to nature and the water around them. An objective that TUZQ fits in nicely with this photo-realistic representation of a fox, a deer and the fulling mill of Opoeteren on this impressive mural that was appropriately titled 'Wildlife harmony'. The fox has a sprinkling of leaves in its fur, and in the background you can see a subtle wooded area.

Tuzq creëerde de geheimzinnige 'Wolpertinger', een dier uit de Duitse folklore. Een klein, fabelachtig zoogdier dat bestaat uit verschillende dieren – meestal vleugels, gewei, een staart en hoektanden. De meest voorkomende beschrijving beeldt de Wolpertinger af met de kop van een konijn, het lichaam van een eekhoorn, het gewei van een hert en de vleugels en soms de poten van een fazant.Volgens de folklore vind je Wolpertingers in de bossen van Beieren, maar nu vind je deze schattige soort ook in Merksem.Tijdens de editie van 2024 van het Mark'Em-festival waren 7 artiesten te gast op een 40 meter lange muur op de parking van de plaatselijke bibliotheek, ze inspiratie vonden in de fantastische wereld van fabels en mythen.______________________________________________________________________________________________________________Tuzq created the epic 'Wolpertinger', an animal from German folklore. A small mammal composed of various animal parts – generally wings, antlers, a tail, and fangs. The most widespread description portrays the Wolpertinger having the head of a&nbsp;rabbit, the body of a&nbsp;squirrel, the antlers of a&nbsp;deer, and the wings and occasionally the legs of a&nbsp;pheasant. According to folklore, Wolpertingers can be found in the forests of Bavaria, but now you can find this cute species in Merksem.The 2024 edition of the Mark'Em festival hosted 7 artists on a 40 m long wall on the parking lot of the local library, finding inspiration in the fantastic world of fables and myths.

Tijdens de 'Graffiti jam under the bridge' op 17 en 18 juni 2023, in het kader van 'Off the tracks', brachten meerdere (inter)nationale artiesten graffiti aan op de zijwanden van de oude spoorwegtunnel in As.&nbsp; Lars van Cauwenbergh, alias TUZQ schilderde deze zwaluwstaart vlinder, die je kan spotten in het nabijgelegen Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen. ------------------------------------ During the 'Graffiti jam under the bridge' on 17 and 18 June 2023, as part of 'Off the tracks', several international artists applied graffiti to the side walls of the old railway tunnel in As. Lars van Cauwenbergh, alias TUZQ painted this swallowtail butterfly, which you can spot in the nearby Hoge Kempen National Park.&nbsp;

<div>On the Scheldelaan in the Port of Antwerp, a bare wall has been tackled by 80 graffiti artists.&nbsp;</div><div>They painted a wall 900 meters long, usually with works about the environment, the sea and the Scheldt itself.&nbsp;</div><div>The project was commissioned by the Antwerp port authority and the Flemish Waterways Agency.&nbsp;</div><div>Graffiti artists from Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Australia took up the challenge, including Aerosol Kings and Lastplak.&nbsp;</div><div>They were suggested to make works of art about nature, the environment, maritime life and the Scheldt.&nbsp;</div><div>Although everyone was free to paint whatever they wanted, most did stick to the theme.&nbsp;</div><div>Thanks to the diversity of artists, there are also different styles to admire on this wall.&nbsp;</div>

<div>The bicycle tunnels under the Zuiderring in Mol received a striking makeover in April 2021. About 50 graffiti artists on 17 &amp; 18 April 2021 and another 50 graffiti artists worked on the Tunnel Vision project on 24 &amp; 25 April. A project to transform the walls into real works of art. "Graffiti artwork in Molse bicycle tunnel wins international prize". The colourful crane that you will find in the bicycle tunnels under the Zuiderring in Mol was awarded 'Best of April' by our app StreetArtCities. It concerns a graffiti artwork that Lars Van Cauwenbergh alias TUZQ from Scherpenheuvel-Zichem made during the graffiti project Tunnelvisie in Mol. With his design he beat candidates with works in Australia, the United States, Uruguay, the Netherlands and Great Britain, among others. You can admire the crane together with a hundred other graffiti artworks in the Molse bicycle tunnels.</div>
