<div>The work of Lula Goce tends to delve into the intimate from the public, apparent solitary actions connected with disturbing living natures, where the human and the vegetable come together to symbolize what she wants or needs.
<br>In this large mural a sense of struggle is perceived between opposite poles, where from a dark but at the same time serene and reflective portrait, fear, phobias and other monsters with the forms of ancient classical culture spring up.
<br>Faucets, chimeras and strange creatures emerge from the chest reminding us where we have the lights, the shadows, and the midtones that we need to find the balance in the vital path.<br>This artwork is part of Rexenera Fest 2018.</div>

<div>This artwork es a part of thje project named Interactive murals: Women of science, an initiative promoted jointly by the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and the Las Naves Innovation Center of the Valencia City Council with a double objective: on the one hand, to make visible and honoring researchers of reference of science national and international, combining in each mural science, gender, art and new technologies; and on the other, to denounce the consequences of gender inequality, both in the construction of scientific and research vocations, and in the development of women's professional careers in these areas, their working conditions, access to research fields and roofs of glass to which they are still subjected today.

<br>This first mural pays tribute to Margarita Salas, whose scientific work has been recognized with the granting of numerous awards and distinctions, and whose contributions are decisive in understanding the replication mechanisms of genetic material.&nbsp;<br>
<br>The mural, the work of visual galician artist Lula Goce, occupies 9x5 meters of the UPV's rector's facade. In it, the figure of Dr. Salas stands out, accompanied by different elements linked to her scientific career.</div>

Flowers on O'Connell Street

<div>Lula played a homegame, being a proud Galician, she was asked by the counsil of Sada to paint a tribute to Isaac Diaz Pardo.<br>He was an intelectual, painter and sculptor. During the Spanish Civil War he fleed the country, exiled to Argentina.&nbsp;</div><div>When he came back to Galicia, he started a big project with another Galician artist called Seoane. They started a ceramic factory in Sada, which started to be a motor of the economy in the town, and an Icon for the culture in all Galicia. Now this ceramics are knew in all the world like Sargadelos Ceramics, which still is made with an old manufactured. This ceramics are now a simbol of Galicia. And the wall is situated at the street that has his name, and he is watching the way that bring us to the factory too.</div>

<p>Moisés y Vítor Baraça are sculptures of Barcelos figurines and the latest in a saga of artists begun by their grandmother in the early 20th century, they are committed to innovation whilst retaining all the character of the family’s <em>figurado</em> art.</p><p>This mural is part of "Las Estrellas del Camino". There are 10 different paintings on the way from Porto to Santiago de Compostela. Each mural represents a local protagonist with a story of personal struggle that reflects their connection to their land or path. They are artists, artisans or athletes who embody the spirit of the pilgrim, with values ​​such as overcoming and brotherhood.</p>
