Honsar

<p>This realistic, black-and-white portrait depicts a child biting into a colorful apple. The figure is surrounded by various fruits and branches, along with the phrase "Get a taste of Vielfalt" ("Get a taste of diversity"). The vibrant orange-red background makes the monochrome portrait stand out all the more.</p><p>The mural is located in a railway station underpass. It is the work of Frankfurt-based artist Honsar. He created it in 2020, during the pandemic, as part of the local "Meeting of Styles" event. The project was organized by Buntic Media in collaboration with Deutsche Bahn and the city of Ludwigshafen. In total, 25 international artists took part in the project.</p>

<div>Here it is a graffiti project that took place in a multicultural area located at Hannover Linden Park (Germany). <div><strong>Honsar (Jan-Malte Strijek) <br></strong>is a German mixed-media artist born in Frankfurt/Main.&nbsp; “<strong>Honsar</strong> entered the Graffiti-Scene via the painting of characters in 1991. Inspired by other Graffiti artists he got engaged with stylewriting and experimented with the different style concepts using his synonym “Honsar”. This resulted in his own style in which the letters are a mixture of graphical and organic structures often enhanced with figurative details. As such he formed a combination in which the letters are still the base of the wall painting but which also allows the beholder to see something totally different. On canvass he also uses his characteristic elements but here often without a reference to letters.
