Francesco Ferreri, known as Chekos'art, is a pioneer of urban art. Growing up in the graffiti underground in Milan, he has shaped his personal style that now extends to the streets of Italy, Europe and beyond. His murals are like reflections of a living history, painting faces that tell stories of social contrasts and reminders of historical memory. From Xiemen in China to Tirana in Albania, his works transform cities into open-air galleries, communicating with new generations through iconic pop references and homages to the masters of the past. Founder of 167B STREET together with Ania Kitlas, he has transformed the suburbs into a constantly evolving exhibition centre. From this starting point, he explores a centrality that escapes conventional dimensions, searching among the nuances of urban space for a story to tell.
