<div>The flowers of this façade by the Boa Mistura collective represent the season of spring 2020 lost to the Covid-19 pandemic. Boa Mistura were so happy to be out on the streets again and excited to paint that they finished the project in 10 days instead of the usual 3 weeks.</div>

<div>BOA MISTURA is a Madrilenian collective of five artists. In over 15 years, their artistic recognition is no longer questionable as evidenced by their works around the world. Their commitment is to improve neighborhoods through art, transform the city to reach the people.<br>This artwork aimed to raise awareness of recycling. This is the result of a collaboration with the EcoAlf brand for more sustainable consumption practices.</div>

<p>Encorsetado entre las infraestructuras del aeropuerto de Barajas, la M-40 y la A-2, la Alameda de Osuna era una isla desconectada del resto de Madrid.</p><p>Allí crecimos, inventándonos un ocio que las instituciones no facilitaban, y que salir del barrio a buscarlo suponía una odisea de buses y metros.</p><p>Una vía de tren abandonada era nuestro centro social, allí empezamos a pintar graffiti, entre chavales que aporreaban guitarras, hacían malabares, bailaban breakdance o rapeaban.</p><p>Un entorno de creatividad espontánea, algo punk, que sin duda marcó a esas generaciones crecidas en los 90.</p><p>Hoy, muchos años después, la Alameda ha cambiado.</p><p>También nosotros, pero sigue intacto el orgullo de, sin importar la distancia, tener un barrio al que llamar casa.</p><p>El proyecto se llevó a cabo dentro del Programa Cultural 21 distritos del Ayuntamiento de Madrid.</p><p>____________________________________________________________________________________________________________</p><p>Sandwiched between the infrastructure of the Barajas airport, the M-40 and the A-2, the Alameda de Osuna was an island disconnected from the rest of Madrid.</p><p>"We grew up there, inventing a leisure that the institutions did not facilitate, and that leaving the neighborhood to look for it meant an odyssey of buses and subways."</p><p>An abandoned train track was our social center, there we started painting graffiti, among kids banging guitars, juggling, breakdancing or rapping.</p><p>An environment of spontaneous creativity, somewhat punk, that undoubtedly marked those generations that grew up in the 90s. Today, many years later, the Alameda has changed. So do we, but the pride of, regardless of the distance, having a neighborhood to call home remains intact.</p><p>The project was carried out as part of the City of Madrid’s 21 distritos Cultural Program.</p><p></p>

<p>The artistic collective Boa Mistura presents RE-VS, a project that reflects on the virtual and the real.</p><p>Restless Culture</p><p>The artistic collective Boa Mistura presents RE-VS, a project that reflects on the virtual and the real</p><p>february 13, 2023 Last update: February 13, 2023 DIGITAL ART</p><p>Boa Mistura, the artistic collective with roots in graffiti born in Madrid at the end of 2001, returns to reflection through a dialogue between the space, its inhabitants and the ties that exist between the two</p><p>RE-VS.(reversus) is a multiplatform project between public and digital art. The name is based on the combination of “RE” as a prefix, meaning what is repeated several times; and “VS”, the abbreviation of the Latin versus, as indicative of opposition or confrontation, both material and immaterial. This is how “REVERSUS” is born, from the Latin "reverso", conceptually understood as the opposite part of the front of a thing.</p><p>The project explores the relationship between the physical and the digital world, between public and private space, between the collective and the individual, through the modifications that one suffers as a consequence of the actions that occur in the other.</p><p>Boa Mistura establishes relationships between plastic art and digital art by performing a  performance broadcast in streaming through his YouTube channel.</p><p>The starting point is a large 10x10 meter mural on the façade of a building adjacent to Boa Mistura 's studio in the Vallecas neighborhood.</p><p>The work will be digitized, fragmented and transformed into 35 unique NFTs, which can only be purchased during the  ARCOmadrid 23 fair (from February 22 to 26) at the PONCE +ROBLES stand and through the Obilum digital art platform .</p><p>Each time the sale of one of the NFTs is completed, Boa Mistura  will erase the fragment corresponding to that digital piece from the mural in real time, with those individual actions that occur in the virtual world determining the final result of the work.</p>

<div>We are moving therefore we are alive. What is still, dries up and die. That is the reason why the human being has always look to go further and further, by building roads and railways, by sailing the oceans and flying above the clouds.<br>But not the only physical movement what keeps us alive.<br><br>Social unrest keeps the ideals awake and up in arms. That is another way of feeling alive. The San Cristobal colony lives with the movement -in the broadest sense- running through its veins.<br><br>"With this intervention we want to pay tribute to a community that has fought for their principles.
