Amaro currently lives in São Paulo. He has participated in festivals across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. In 2015, he lived in Mexico for a time, and in the following years, he painted at festivals in Germany, France, and Spain. In 2018, he undertook an artist residency in the Middle East, participating in the Cairo Biennale and painting at the Nahr al-Bared Palestinian refugee camp. In 2023, he was the only Brazilian selected to participate in the Moscow Biennale. His work evokes the imagery of an unknown planet, featuring landscapes, plants, and beings inhabiting a world deeply connected to nature.
